Incarnated Word

Christmas: a praise and proclamation of the love of the incarnated Word that lighten the world

And the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”. Although he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. Thus, the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and the Word was God. God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins. Because God is love and whoever does not love, does not know God.

Angles of heaven praised the Lord, the incarnated Word

Instantly there were seen with the angel, the many hosts of heaven, praising God, and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!”.

People of the earth praised the incarnated Word

Mary

My spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.

Elisabeth

Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost and said: “blessed is the fruit of thy womb”.

Shepherds

The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen.

Wise Men

They entered the house; and they saw the child, with Mary his mother; and they fell down and worshipped him: and they opened their treasures, and presented to him gifts, gold, and myrrh, and frankincense.

Proclamations of the incarnated Word

Simon

Behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon. And it had been told him by the Holy Spirit, that he would not see death, until he should see the Messiah of the Lord. He took him in his arms, and blessed God, and said: “For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel”.

Anna

She too stood up, in that hour, and gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of him to everyone that waited for the redemption of Jerusalem.

Incarnated word is the true light of the World

Then Jesus spoke again unto them, saying, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”. “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world”. “Whoever believeth in me, might not abide in darkness”. “I came not to judge the world, but to save the world”.

Let us praise and proclaim the love of the incarnated word to the world

God became flesh, and dwelt among us as out of his love for the humanity. He, the true light of the world brings us salvation today. Let us adore and praise him with angles of heaven and people of the earth. Let us proclaim the message of Christmas to the whole world by sharing this precious gift of the love of God to the humanity; especially in our own special circumstances where we live. I wish you all a happy Christmas.

With regards and prayers

Dn. Joseph Puthussey
